Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?
  • Call or email for Home Inspection prices.

Why should I hire you instead of someone else?
  • When you decide you want to buy a home, that decision is often made on how you feel when you walk through the home and if you can visualize yourself living there. You are not alone. Everyone desires a place where they and their family can feel safe and secure and if you like to entertain, you are proud to show off your new home.
  • I understand this. The last thing you probably want is to be living in your home only to find multiple things wrong that are not covered under a warranty and you have to pay out hundreds or thousands of dollars to fix them. So my goal is to validate your choice of a home and at the same time, ensure you will not be blindsided.
  • Before I inspect your home, I listen to what you have to say about any special concerns, especially related to health. For example, if someone in your family deals with asthma, I will pay extra attention to anything I can find that will exacerbate the condition, such as excess moisture in areas around the house that could potentially lead to mold and mildew.
  • In addition, I inspect the home as if I or a loved one was going to be living there. I watch for trip hazards for anyone walking with a cane or walker or even a toddler.

  • The average inspection takes approximately three to four hours to complete.

Does someone need to be present during the inspection?
  • The client does not need to be present at the inspection time; however, I encourage the home buyer to attend the inspection so that he/she can see first hand the workings of the home. It also represents an excellent opportunity for the prospective buyer to ask questions about the home or to discuss potential changes.
